The Lights Out is a Fred Bear compound bow that is most easily handled for it is the shortest and lightest among the Bear bows produced for the professional bow hunters and compound bow enthusiasts.
It has a mass weight of 3.7 pounds, a peak draw weight range of 70 to 90 pounds in increments of 10, a length of 30 inches from axle to axle, and a let-off of 80%.
The presence of the Perimeter-Weighted Modular Single Cam system in the Lights Out, its arrow speed ranges from 296 to 300 fps IBO. The cam system that Fred Bear has installed in Lights Out ensures a quiet yet smooth draw, together with a potent release wherein it rotates silently on a stainless steel bearing that also reduces friction in the cables due to its asymmetric power track. All this provides longer life for the cable and improves performance that is better than ever.
The Lights Out has limbs that provide stability, smoothness in energy release, and an even distribution in stress that is efficient in delivering maximum power to the arrow. This special limb design is non other that Fred Bear’s original Compression molded Flare Quad Limbs. Furthermore, vibration is minimized alongside the noise by an improved string suppressor and aluminum pivoting limb cups that are of Bear’s very own creation.
In addition to that, the minimized vibration is reduced even more because of the presence of the two-piece synthetic grip that provides warmth and comfort at the same time fit for cold-season hunting. Moreover, the 8.75-inch brace and minimum reflex machined aluminum riser maintains the precise delivery of the Lights Out in every shot and provides maximum forgiveness.
